low vs diamond

i headed off to camden last night to see low vs diamond play at the barfly. they're a new band from LA on their first tour of the UK and i've gotta say that i was very impressed. there was a really good review of their show at water rats the other night (read review here) which prompted me to go and i'm really glad i did as it was a kick arse show. i was surprised at how mature their sound is (not mature as in boring but as in like they've played together for a long time and have that instinctive knowledge of each other) and how confident they are without coming across as arrogant. they're certainly a band that i'm looking forward to seeing again.
